Free Brooklyn Kid's Chess Tournament on National Chess Day

Free Kid’s Chess Tournament In Brooklyn on October 14th, 2017

The Kingsman Chess Club a longtime institution in the the borough of Brooklyn has organized a free chess tournament for children on Saturday October 14, 2017. The event will take place at the  Restoration Plaza Outdoor Amphitheater. Take the A train to Nostrand Avenue station or the B25 or B44 buses.

The event is generously sponsored by Pivot Real Estate Group, Kingsman Chess Club, Bridge Street Development Group, and 500 Black Men Making a Difference, Inc.

The tournament will consist of 4 rounds with a time limit of game 25 with a 5 second time delay. The times of the rounds will be 11:00 am, 12:15, 2:00, and 3:15.

There will be 3 sections. Open, Under 100 and U600.

Free lunch will be provided and the top 5 players in each section will win trophies.

You have to bring you own clocks and sets.
