Justine Dalhouse
My name is Justin Dalhouse, I’m a 20-year-old from the vibrant inner city of New York City. I’ve been passionate about chess since I was five years old. The game captivated me from very young, teaching me not just strategy and tactics, but also patience and resilience. Over the years, I’ve competed in many tournaments across the country. Each game deepened my appreciation for the intricacies of chess and the mental discipline it requires. Now, as a computer science major, I find that many of the skills I developed through chess directly apply to my studies. The analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities I honed on the chessboard are applied when programming. Both require a keen understanding of strategy and optimizing solutions. I love the challenge of analyzing a problem or position and crafting a creative solution.
